Hello everyone!
Mom had her surgery on June 24th. It has been almost a month and she is healing beautifully! Her cancer is officially in remission. I don’t think we could have asked for anything more. She is going to start back at work on September 1st. Just 15 hours a week at first, but gradually she will be back to full time. She feels good most of the time, but she is still having some nausea. The doc wants to leave her peg tube in for a few months until she is eating all meals by mouth and not suffering from nausea. But she is on her way! Thank God! and thanks to all of you for your prayers and support. It has meant a great deal to me!
Hugs,
Lisa

Hello Everyone!
Mom got the results from her PET scan today….. they said the cancer is gone! Isn’t that amazing! The doc said there was a little activity in one of the lymph nodes, but that the lymph nodes are coming out next week so there wasn’t anything to worry about. She will go for her surgery next week to remove the dead tissue and lymph nodes by neck dissection. The doc said the tonsils were burned up by the radiation, so they are no longer there. We could not have asked for better news! Thank you all soooo much for your constant support and outpouring of prayers. I’m not sure how I would have made it through this without this blog and ALL of you guys! I will keep you all posted about her post surgery healing!
Thanks again!

That’s great news. Remind her to tell herself and I’m sure she already does…is that “each day I’m (she) is one day closer to being completely whole”. That always kept my spirit up. Before you know it she’ll be back to old (new) self again. God bless
Thanks for the encouraging words…I will pass them on to her!
Fantastic News!
